These terms and conditions of sale govern every order placed on studioextrait.co.za. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have read these terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.
This website is operated by Studio Extrait, a South African fragrance retailer trading online at studioextrait.co.za. Our full trading address is printed on your order confirmation and invoice and is available on request.
Nothing in these terms limits or replaces any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).
All fragrances are original extraits de parfum formulated and blended by Studio Extrait. Product photographs and bottles are illustrative; because our fragrances are hand-filled in small batches, packaging details may vary slightly between batches.
Fragrance descriptions, note listings and scent profiles are provided to describe the scent itself and are not a claim of affiliation with, or endorsement by, any other brand, house or manufacturer.
All stock is subject to availability. If an item you ordered is out of stock we will contact you and either offer an alternative, hold your order, or refund the affected item in full.
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). The amount payable is the final total shown at checkout, which includes any delivery charge. Delivery is free on orders over R650; a flat R85 courier fee applies below that.
We may change prices and promotions at any time, but the price shown at the moment you complete checkout is the price that applies to your order.
Payments are processed by Yoco, a licensed South African payment provider. We accept Visa and Mastercard, instant EFT, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports it. Card details are captured on Yoco's PCI-DSS compliant payment page and are never received or stored by us.
Your order is only considered paid once Yoco confirms the successful payment to us. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may cancel the order and release any reserved stock.
Your checkout submission is an offer to buy. No contract of sale exists until we have confirmed successful payment, at which point we send you an order confirmation by email.
We may decline or cancel an order where the item is unavailable, where the delivery address is outside our service area, where payment cannot be verified, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse. Where an order is cancelled after payment, we refund the full amount paid.
Orders are dispatched door-to-door nationwide through The Courier Guy. Orders are packed and dispatched within 24 to 48 hours of payment confirmation, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Delivery typically takes 1 to 3 business days to major centres, and up to 5 business days for regional or outlying areas. Once dispatched, you receive an SMS and email containing your waybill number so that you can track the delivery in real time.
Please ensure that the delivery address and contact number you provide are correct and that someone is available to receive the parcel. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will open a claim with the courier and replace or refund the order.
We offer a 7-day exchange or refund window from the date of delivery. To be eligible, the item must be unused, unopened and in its original packaging, with all seals intact.
To start a return, contact us by email or WhatsApp within 7 days of delivery. Return courier fees are for your account: for an exchange the two-way courier fee applies, and for a refund the one-way return fee is deducted from the refund amount. Once we have inspected the returned item, we process the refund to your original payment method.
Our full shipping, returns and refunds policy is published at returns-shipping.html and forms part of these terms.
If a bottle arrives damaged, leaking or faulty, or if you receive an item you did not order, notify us within 7 days of receipt with your order number and photographs of the item and packaging. We will arrange collection and supply a replacement or a full refund, including courier costs, subject to stock availability.
This is in addition to the implied warranty of quality in section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, which entitles you to a repair, replacement or refund for goods that fail to meet the required standard.
We take reasonable care in blending, filling, packaging and dispatching every order. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the value of that order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, power interruptions, or incorrect delivery details supplied by you. Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the CPA.
Fragrance is a cosmetic product. Please patch test if you have sensitive skin and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
